Bio

Bringing enjoyment and lasting memories to your event.

Based in Māngere, South Auckland, and proudly of Niuean heritage, Brent M. (formerly known as DJ Whatever) brings over 20 years of experience lighting up events across Tāmaki Makaurau.

Originally rooted in hip hop and R&B, his sets now blend throwbacks and modern beats, weaving in Pasifika, Afrosoul, funk, house, rock, reggae, classic sing-alongs, Top 40 and pop. He reads the room and moves through the decades so every guest finds a connection in the music, from early evening to late night.

Two decades of weddings, corporate events, club nights, Pasifika celebrations and private functions have built his reputation for reliability, quality sound and a personable presence behind the decks. He is represented by DJ NOW for private functions, weddings and events in Auckland.
